TB stole one in D.C. but they are so talented they can get away with that. If you give the #1 power play in the league chances, they are gonna score and thats exactly what they did.
-Caps 1/6 on the power play...not good enough
-Caps with 60 shots on net...great number but need to convert scoring chances
-Vasilevskiy was money
As a Caps fan, im just happy we got a point lol. Two would have been great considering how tight the metro is. A single point may be the difference between playing the Pens in the first round (ouch) or second round. Home ice is critical regardless |

Killorn's two assists yesterday night were brutal. The Caps basically had an extra man whenever he was on the ice. He's a good depth player, but I hope he's one of the first guys that are traded once we start to have some cap issues. |

Hat trick one week, bad turnovers the next week |

That was great fast game (except for Killorn)! What an entertaining season. I don't want it to end.
Tonight's game is another "scheduled loss" 3rd game in 4 nights. Silver Lining: if we have to have a scheduled loss, I'm glad it's against the Hurricanes in Carolina so we can see a cool victory celebration!

Has Teravainen always played the wing since he got traded to Carolina? I know that he was a center in Chicaco. |

He has played some spot duty at C when necessary but typically plays RW now. His versatility is huge. |

That game last night was a recipe for disaster in the playoffs. You cannot completely rely on your PP to win games in the postseason. The refs put the whistles away. And you cannot rely on your goalie making nearly 60 saves a game either, even if that goaltender is named Vezinalevskiy.
Get this crap :
In the game recap posted on the Russian Machine Never Breaks blog (Caps site), they compared Paquette to Marchand and said that Paquette was one of the dirtiest players in the league. LOL.
Seriously? Wow. Talk about myopia when you have Tom F-ing Wilson on your team - a serial predator of the worst sort that makes Marchand look like a choir boy.
Paquette is a trash talker and plays with an edge, but he's not dirty. Compare the supplemental discipline history of Marchand, Paquette, and Wilson, and you'll see who the dirty players are. |

Should be a good one, think Canes have a great shot at 2 points. TB probably burned alot of gunpowder yesterday and HurricanÉs is a good team.

Or layer back to back and out played them bolts. Caps will beat them in playoffs |

I guess I am likely blinded by homerism, but I honestly don't see him leaving his feet to hit people, head-hunting, dirty stick work, slew-footing, etc.
Once a scrum breaks out, things get chaotic and the fog of war descends. During scrums is the only time I have noticed him going over the line.

He had Kempny down on ice injured and he pummeled his head. Kempny out long term. Injury not Paquettes fault. Kempny just fell oddly. |

Watch him a bit closer. I attend more games than I see on tv. Ya just see more up close and personal. Who do you want your bolts to play in first round |

He shouldn't have hit him after he was down. It's not like Kempny is Claude Lemieux or anything like that. |

Ideally, I'd rather see the Bolts draw Montreal in the first round. Sure, Price could go on a god-like hot streak and steal a few games, but the Habs don't have the depth to beat Tampa in a series. I like that series better than Columbus or any other option.
Ideally, Boston and Toronto have a long and grueling 7-game series with lots of multiple overtimes and hitting. Tampa is playing with more of an edge this season, but they still need to avoid long drawn-out series. I like the idea of sweeping Montreal in the first round and then sitting back to watch a bruised and tired victor emerge in quadruple-overtime of game 7 in the Leafs-Bruins series.

Montreal and Carolina are the easy first round teams. Columbus is a nasty team hitting if they get in

Carolina and Montreal are softer and present a better first round matchup. Columbus isles and Pittsburgh would make Stanley cup more difficult for bolts

Agreed no one wants Pitt. Malkin and Letang should be back rested and ready to go |
